Beall Barclay: How many years have you been with Beall Barclay?  

Shelly Taylor: I have been with Beall Barclay for over 9 years.

BB: What is your role within Beall Barclay?  

Shelly: I am currently a senior accountant.

BB: How have you contributed to the success of Beall Barclay?  

Shelly: In the past, I have helped with software conversions and the development of work paper templates. I enjoy exploring software capabilities and coming up with ways for us to use the software to our advantage.

BB: What did you do prior to joining Beall Barclay?

Shelly: Before I joined Beall Barclay, I worked in private accounting for about 15 months. Prior to that position, I worked for 6 years in public accounting with a regional firm.

BB: Are there any memorable experiences you’d like to share that typify what it’s like to work at Beall Barclay?  

Shelly: We like to have fun at Beall Barclay. One day you might see a partner participating in a tricycle race, wearing a sumo outfit or even dressing up as Elvis.

BB: Talk about the culture at Beall Barclay. What makes this a unique place to work?  

Shelly: We like to have fun at Beall Barclay. One day you might see a partner participating in a tricycle race, wearing a sumo outfit or even dressing up as Elvis.

BB: Beall Barclay prides itself in enabling associates to maintain a strong life/work balance.   How has this approach impacted you?  

Shelly: I have four children ranging in age from 2 to 16. Obviously, they keep me busy! The partners allow me the flexibility to attend school events, sporting events, doctor appointments and whatever else may come up for me. I see this flexibility as a huge benefit.

BB: What's your favorite part of northwest Arkansas to explore?  

Shelly: Anywhere! We are all very fortunate to live in Northwest Arkansas with its beautiful scenery. There are plenty of things to do like hiking, fishing, hunting, biking or canoeing.

BB: What does the name Beall Barclay mean to you? 

Shelly: The top three things to come to my mind when I think of our firm name are tradition, caring and commitment.

BB: How do you see your future at Beall Barclay unfolding?  

Shelly: My hope is to contribute to the success of Beall Barclay in anyway possible.

BB: What qualities do you think a person needs to have to succeed at Beall Barclay?  

Shelly: I think it is very important for a potential employee to have a good work ethic, a willingness to never stop learning, an ability to adapt to changes and a genuine concern for our clients' needs.

BB: What do you like to do outside of work?

Shelly: My greatest joy comes from being with my family, no matter what the activity.
